Skipper Moussa Maazou is one of four overseas-based players yet to join Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations group opponents Niger in their training camp in Niamey.
Officials informed MTNFootball.com they hope star striker Maazou, who plays for Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia, Gabon-based stars Alhassane Ismael and Idrissa Laouali as well as Alhassane Issoufou, who is based in Morocco, arrive in time to join the squad for a warm-up against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.
The Mena are scheduled to fly out to Ethiopia on Friday night for the game, which will be played on Sunday.
Niger, who are drawn in Group D along with Ghana, Mali and DR Congo in Port Elizabeth, will also host fellow Nations Cup finalists Togo in another preparatory game on January 5.
They are due in South Africa on January 8.
