Accra representative of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Oduro Sarfo believes Kumasi Asante Kotoko now lacks vision to participate in any Confederation of African Football (CAF) tournament, looking at the current crop of players they have.

According to Oduro Sarfo, he made this assertion last season and many did not agree with him, but that is what is manifesting now though Kotoko is doing well on the local scene.

Last season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), Daniel Nii Adjei joined Congolose giants TP Mazembe, while striker Ben Acheampong has been sold to Angolan side Petro Athletico.

Defender Awal Mohammed left at the end of last season to South African side Maritzurg United while right back, Yaw Frimpong is expected to join the exodus train.

Midfielder Michael Anaba is also being courted by unnamed clubs in Spain and Sweden.

The Porcupine Warriors could only draw 1-1 with the Algerian debutants, JSM Bejaia, before an expectant home crowd at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The two sides after ending goalless in the first leg in Algeria, the visitors trim past the Porcupine Warriors on the away goal rule in Kumasi to progress to the next stage of the CAF Champions league.

Speaking on an Accra-based Happy FM; the football expert noted that, the fabulous fraternity can testify that their players are not experienced and good enough.

“I think their leadership would agree that, the materials were not there. Example is that, Berekum Chelsea refused to sell it players when they knew CAF competition is ahead of them. In the case of Kotoko, they sell all their experienced players and that has affected them in the CAF champions league.

“..I wouldn’t say its mismanagement because running a football club here in Ghana is a big task. Their problem now is lack of vision not mismanagement. If your vision is blur and you don’t think ahead, you are likely to face such problems,” he said.
