Ghana Premier Leagaue giants Accra Hearts of Oak have beaten competition from Kotoko and AshGold to sign versatile defender Godfred Saka, Ghana Sports understands.
The 23-year-old Right to Dream Academy product has told Aduana Stars he wants to join the Phobians which has given Hearts the power to ask Aduana to open up for negotiations.
Aduana have vowed not to sell any of their players to Kotoko after bad brawl between the two in the past - leaving the options between AshGold and the capital club.
Hearts coach David Duncan personally rang Saka to explain his reasons for opting for him and convincing him to join the former African champions.
Saka earlier in the week told Accra-based Ghanaian website footy-ghana.com he has opted for the Phobians over other options.
Hearts have already completed the signing of striker Selasi Adjei and Emanuel Hayford from Amidaus Professionals.
