Former Accra Hearts of oak Coach Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio has condemned the sacking of David Duncan
The ex-Ashantigold trainer, who is widely regarded as the figure to revive the Accra-based giants, was handed his dismissal letter on Friday morning after ten matches into season.
The decision, which was taken solely by the board chairman of the club Togbe Afede, has been seen by many as shocking
The former Black Meteors Coach took charge of the club in November 2012 following the dismissal of C.K Akunnor.
�A traditional club like Accra Hearts of Oak only needs consistency and I don�t think changing coaches is what they need right now" the 2000 African Coach of the year told XYZ Sports.
"Duncan took charge of the team when they were struggling last season and brought them to a fifth placed at the end of the season" he added
"He has started the season well in this campaign and I see no need for them to let him go"
"I don�t know what transpired but it�s not good for a big club like Accra Hearts of Oak to be changing Coaches like that" Attuquaefio concluded
The decision comes just about 48 hours before the Phobians take on Amidaus professionals in Tema in the league and Duncan's dismissal could spell doom for the Phobians.
Accra Hearts of Oak are second on the ten week old Ghana Premier League four points adrift of leaders Asante Kotoko
