Ghana duo Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah have been in the Confederation of African Football nominees for the 2013 African Player of the Year.
The Black Stars duo made the cut of 25 players for the flagship African Player of the Year category.
Gyan has been in top form at club level for United Arab Emirates side Al Ain and in a rich vein of scoring form in the World Cup qualifier.
Asamoah put up solid performances for Juventus in the Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.
They face stiff competition from John Mikel Obi, Jonathan Pitriopa, Yao Kouassi Gervais �Gervinho�and reigning African Player of the Year Yaya Toure of Ivory Coast.
The winners will be announced at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria.
