The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi has called on Ghanaians to celebrate their heroes whiles they are alive.
According to him, waiting till these gallant personalities are dead before being given posthumous recognition should be avoided.
�Let celebrate our heroes whiles alive�not when they are dead. Kwesi Appiah has done tremendously well and he should be celebrated by all,� he said.
Mr. Nyantakyi was addressing a ceremony organized by Guinness Ghana to honour the head coach of the Black Stars, James Kwesi Appiah.
Guinness Ghana, also sponsors of the senior national team, Black Stars, honored Coach James Kwesi Appiah as the first local coach to have qualified the Black Stars to the world stage of FIFA football. In recognition of his achievement, Guinness presented an 18 carat gold harp and products to Coach Appiah.
In addition, Guinness announced that it will support Coach Appiah�s dream of setting up a sports academy in Ghana.
