Ghana's Michael Essien will seal his switch to Italian AC Milan on Monday after passing his medicals.
The midfielder, who was said to have failed his medicals on Saturday passed a series of stress test on Sunday as both parties raced to revive the move.
Essien who according to information emanated from the Italian media, failed the first part of the medical tests related to a knee injury will now sign a contract with Milan on Monday morning.
The former Chelsea midfielder who arrived in Milan late Friday to complete his switch from the London club had medicals at the La Madonnina Clinic.
He is expected to the complete the process at Milanello, the club�s training grounds and sign an 18-month contract.
Essien is expected to earn a combined salary of �4.5million by the time his contract with Milan expires on June 30, 2015.
He will accrue �1.5million for the next six months and an additional �3million for the 2014/15 season.
