The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper has questioned the logic behind the GFA’s ‘dream’ of bringing back Coach Milovan Rajevac to assist Kwesi Appiah during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had said in an interview that; “I wish we could use him (Milovan) as one of our scouts for the World Cup; but this must be subjected to a thorough discussion before we could take any such decision…, we shall discuss the possibility of adding him to our scouts, because he could be of great help to the team. I do not really care about where help is coming from provided it will make the team better and give us the results”

Ghana’s former football Coach, Milovan Rajevac is a Serbian and a former professional player. He became Ghana manager from August 2008 to 8 September 2010.

Meanwhile, Coach Kwesi Appiah has contacted Milovan to play an advisory role for the Black Stars team at the 2014 World Cup.

The Black Stars coach met the Serbian manager in Montenegro on Tuesday to discuss the possibility of playing an advisory role for his technical team for June’s World Cup in Brazil.

Rajevac, who is currently out of work, has told GHANAsoccernet.com sources in the Serbian media that he is seriously considering the offer from Coach Kwesi Appiah.

But contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show programme ‘Kokrokoo’, Kwesi Pratt asked “what is wrong with the GFA?”

“We all advocated for a local coach to lead the Black Stars because we were fed-up with the foreign ones, and then you come again and tell us this…What is wrong with the GFA; how can they think of bringing back this coach. What did he do with the Black Stars when he was leading them? Sometimes I just don’t understand some of these officials. It is so annoying...meanwhile, if he returns, his pay is even likely to exceed that of Kwesi Appiah,” he said.
