The Ghana striker first set up Dossevi to pull the equalizer in the 54th minute before grabbing the winner in the 77th minute. That was his fifth goal in nine matches since joining Valenciennes on loan.
With this form, Waris has sealed his place in Kwesi Appiah's squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Meanwhile, John Boye was a 77th minute substitute for Rennes in their loss to Valenciennes.
Elsewhere, Jordan Ayew was shown a straight red card in Sochaux's 2-1 defeat to Monaco.
The Olympic Marseille loanee who scored his first Sochaux goal in eight matches last week picked up the red card in the 85th minute after a tackle on Andrea Raggi.
