Ex-Hearts chairman Harry Zakour wants Marcel Desailly to be drafted into the backroom staff of Kwesi Appiah ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
With just four months for the start of the biggest football fiesta, debate on Appiah’s backroom staff has intensified after reported emerged ex-Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac was in line to take up an advisory role in the team ahead of the tournament.
Coach Kwesi Appiah is believed to have contacted his former boss for the role- which has received the backing of FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi.
However, celebrated former Hearts chairman Harry Zakour, has charged the FA to engage the services of the former France international.
“For Desailly, yes because he has seen it all in football as a Player and if he will be willing to help why not? We should go in for him,” he said.
Desailly has been linked with the Malaysian national team job.
