Host of Ghanaian stars who were airlifted to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil as ambassadors by the Minister of Youth and Sports have threatened to quit their ambassadorial assignment even before Ghana decide its fate to the next stage of the on-going tournament.
According to PEACE FMs Head of sports, Dan Kweku Yeboah currently in Brazil, the ambassadors have expressed dismay with the kind of treatment given to them by Elvis Afriyie Ankrah.
Speaking on PEACE FMs flagship morning show Kokrokoo, Dan Kwaku Yeboah noted that the ambassadors claimed they travelled from Natal to Fortaleza to support the Black Stars in their game against Germany but spent the rest of the night at the Forteleza Airport due to flight complications.
This he said has compelled the ambassadors to abstain from supporting the Stars in their last group G clash against Portugal.
The ambassadors are saying they spent 12 hours at the airport so this time they are not going to the stadium to support the Black Stars against Portugal in Brasilia due to what happened after the Germany match, he noted.
The ambassadors who were affected are; Actors Jackie Appiah and John Domelo; Highlife Musicians, Gyedu Blay Ambuley and Nat Brew; CK Akonor , Augustine Arhinful both former Black Starsďż˝ players among others are the most affected.
