The annual GHALCA top four is in limbo with participating teams signaling their intentions to pull out due to lack of financial package. Heart of Lions are the latest to threaten a pull out until the financial details are announced.
Ashantigold have confirmed they will reconsider their involvement if they are not guaranteed the tournament will be financially rewarding. Champions Kotoko have questioned the timing of the tournament, leaving only Hearts as the only team without concerns.
The clubs umbrella body is struggling to raise finances for the mini tournament which has lost it steam over the last couple of years. Current GHALCA boss Alhaji Raji has been accused of doing little to lift the sinking image of the association since he assumed office.
The GHALACA top four competition was an attractive brand under J.Y Appiah and Kudjoe Fianoo but has sunk to its lowest ebb in recent times.
