Telecommunications outfit, MTN, has presented GH˘25,000 to Kumasi Asante Kotoko for winning both the Premier League and the FA Cup last season.
The presentation took place at the Ridge office of MTN after the club presented both trophies to their headline sponsor to show appreciation for the company’s support throughout their campaign.
For winning the league, the club recieved GH˘15,000 while the FA Cup conquest attracted GH˘10,000.
A board member of Kotoko, Mr Duah Adonteng, expressed gratitude to MTN with whose support they managed to chalk up the feats, and praised them for their efforts at helping develop sports in the country.
He assured the company that the team would work hard to maintain its status as the best club on the local and international scene.
The CEO of MTN, Mr Serame Taukobong, praised the team for their effort that earned them two titles last season.
He challenged them to maintain the standard set for the themselves adding that the “difficulty of being number one is staying at number one”, and challenged the players give of their best to earn national team call-ups.
