Vociferous Sports Presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, affectionately called “Countryman Songo” is calling on the President of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Kwesi Nyantakyi to with immediate effect resign from his post.
According to him, the GFA has been in a mess over the years under the leadership of Mr. Nyantakyi despite leading Ghana to three successive World Cups [Germany 2006, South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014].
He opined that reasons to make Milovan Rajevac the new Black Stars coach clearly shows how incompetent the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led GFA is.
Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah is done as the coach of the Senior National team and a severance package will be agreed on, by the end of the weekend.
The ex-Ghana captain had signed a new two-year deal worth US$ 36, 500 after masterminding the country’s qualification to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil though his team’s eye-for-money rather than lifting the flag of Ghana high let him down.
Discussing the yet-to be-officially confirmed Kwesi Appiah’s dismissal on Adom FM, controversial journalist Songo is of a view that, “Kwesi Appiah failed Ghana at the World Cup so he must go. We must be serious as a nation but not to reappoint Milovan”.
Songo believes there must also be a radical change at the GFA but not until its boss [Kwesi Nyantakyi] is fired since his headship has dishonored Ghana’s football from the colts level to the premiership.
