The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday sacked Kwesi Appiah as coach of the national team the Black Stars.
The 55-year-old was told his services were no longer required, just 24 hours after leading the Black Stars to record a 3-2 win over Togo in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday.
He will be replaced by Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac who came into the country to assist Kwesi Appiah.
Meanwhile, majority of sports analysts as well as enthusiasts are surprised about the deafening silence of the GFA on the issue.
Peacefmonline.com toured the official website of the GFA and came across the story headlined: “GFA and Kwesi Appiah agree to mutually part ways”; confirming that indeed Coach Kwesi Appiah has been sacked.
