Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Guinea were named future hosts of Africa�s flagship football competition the African Nations Cup by the Confederation of African Football on Saturday.
CAF announced the host countries for the 2019, 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations tournaments at the AU headquarters in Ethiopia.
Cameroon will host the 2019 Afcon tournament, Ivory Coast will host the 2021 tournament, while Guinea will be hosts in 2023.
CAF President Issa Hiyatou announced the winning bids on Saturday afternoon in Addis Ababa,
A vote of the executive committee, meeting in the Ethiopian capital, awarded Cameroon the 2019 finals and Ivory Coast will stage the 2021 edition.
In an unscheduled announcement CAF also decided to hand Guinea the right to host the 2023 finals.
The Executive Committee of Africa�s governing body of football met on Saturday to vote on the bids.
Algeria and Zambia lost out in the bidding process.
The Democratic Republic of Congo had withdrawn from the race two months ago.
