Ghana champions Asante Kotoko and fierce rivals Hearts of Oak are set to clash in a pre-season friendly in the first week of October, Ghanasportsonline.com.
The first leg of the two-leg friendly is expected to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on 6th October 2014 and the return leg a week later at the Accra sports stadium.
Both clubs are preparing towards the start of the Ghana premier league, as the date of the commencement of the top flight has been been thrown into a state of uncertainty as the Ghana Football Association awaits the ruling of an injunction placed on the league by aggrieved relegated side King Faisal Babies.
Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm that the hierarchies of the two most glamorous clubs are locked in crunch meetings in arrangements and preparation for the anticipated clash.
Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will use the friendly to generate finance for the running of their clubs as well as use it to assess the performance of their newly recruited players ahead of the season
