The Ghana international was tough on his fellow Diavolo team-mate during training session leading to a serious injury, but has since shown remorse.
Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is sorry for a ruthless tackle that injured AC Milan team-mate Marco van Ginkel, Rossoneri manager Pippo Inzaghi has said.
Inzaghi noted the challenge was �tough, but not malicious� while speaking on Milan Channel.
Van Ginkel has been ruled out for up to six weeks due to a sprained ankle with ligament damage.
�We�re disappointed. It was a tough challenge, but not malicious or premeditated,� Inzaghi calmed nerves. �Sulley was the first to apologise. If we didn�t train with this intensity and hunger, then it�d be more difficult to win games.�
He added: �It wasn�t a �killer tackle,� otherwise I would�ve intervened. Sulley is a good lad and he�s the first to be sad about this.
�We�ve lost a player who would�ve started against Napoli [on Sunday], as he was in great form. The thoughts are for Marco and we are all sad to see him on crutches.�
