The Elephants of Cote d' Ivoire have proposed a friendly match with the Black Stars of Ghana before the start of the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
The Ivorians will be based in Abu Dhabi and have requested officially to play Ghana and Nigeria as part of their preparation for the tournament.
According to a document sighted by Allsports.com.gh and signed by FIF spokesperson Pierre Gondo,the "matches will allow Cote d'Ivoire manager Herve Renard to assess the strength of his team".
Ghana is yet to announce it's AFCON 2015 itenary with reports that the team's coach Avram Grant prefers a training camp in Spain as against the GFA's choice of Abu Dhabi.
The Elephants are chasing a title they last won in 1992 under the late Yeo Martial and believe "Abu Dhabi is a nice place that allows us to train in peace".
The Ivorians have penned down January 2,2015 as a potential date for the match if an arrangement can be reached with the Ghana Football Association.
