Kumasi Asante Kotoko might not be taking part in the 2014 Oil Cup competition,Ghanasportsonline.com�s sources at the Club have revealed.
According to reports, the Club has still not received their appearance fee from the organizers, Absolute Peace International (API) which has led to a decision by the General Manager Opoku Nti planning to redraw the Club from partaking in the competition.
Sources at the Club also revealed to your authoritative football portal Ghanasportsonline.com that a final decision will be taken by management on Thursday to decide whether or not to participate in the Competition.
The novelty tournament which kicks starts on Friday December 19 at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi will have four teams competing namely; Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Medeama SC and Sekondi Hasaacas.
The inaugural edition of the Oil Cup competition is aimed at celebrating the discovery of oil in Ghana and also contribute to the Youth Empowerment Fund.
