Coach Avram Grant and his technical men will today know the final state of the injury of Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.
Gyan suffered a hip injury in Sunday’s quarterfinals clash with Guinea after colliding with Guinea goalkeeper Naby Yattara.
An injury which eventually saw the Guinean goalkeeper being sent off in the dying embers of the game.
The Black Stars skipper who was flown to Mongomo for a scan is set to undergo a late fitness test before being confirmed fit for the team’s crucial tie against the host [Equatorial Guinea] on Thursday.
The Al Ain striker has failed to partake in the team’s last two training sessions which makes him a huge doubt for the big game at the Estadio de Malabo.
His absence in Tomorrow’s encounter will serve as a major blow for Coach Avram Grant who is bent on making history by reaching the 2015 Cup of Nations finals.
