The Black Stars of Ghana won 3:0 when they met Equitorial Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final on Thursday.
However, the game was stopped at the 82nd minute when the supporters of Equitorial Guinea started throwing objects at the Ghanaian fans.
After the match which was halted for about 30 minutes due to the chaos, the Black Star players were shielded by the police from an infuriated home crowd.
