Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan marked his 90th cap for the Black Stars to equal Richards Kingston’s record as the player with the highest number of appearances for the Black Stars.
The striker equaled the record after featuring in the finals of the 2015 Cup of Nations against Cote d’ Ivoire.
At age 29, Gyan could break the record to become the player with the all-time highest number of appearances for the Black Stars in the next game he features for the team.
Gyan who currently holds the record as Ghana’s all-time highest scorer with 47 goals made his National team debut in November 19, 2003 at age 17 when he came on and scored in a World Cup qualifier against Somalia at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
