Accra Hearts of Oak have secured a crucial 2-1 away victory to Djoliba AC of Mali in their CAF Confederation Cup first leg match played in Bamako.

The Malians pulled one back after Burundian referee Thierry Nkurunziza awarded a penalty to Djoliba AC in the 73rdminute
Nonetheless the Phobians,who are Ghana remaining representatives on the continental stage, are now in pole position to make into the final qualifying stage if they avoid defeat in the return leg.
The second leg tie will be played on Sunday May 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium
