The striker says he will see out his contract with the Porcupine Warriors.
Ahmed Toure has denied media reports claiming he has left Asante Kotoko for Saudi Arabia, insisting that he remains a player of the Kumasi-based outfit.
The 28-year-old Ivoiro-Burkinabe striker recently returned from a loan spell in Lebanon and was set to rejoin the Porcupine Warriors for preparations ahead of the new season.
However, reports emerged he had concluded deals with a Saudi side and was about to definitely depart Kotoko.
“I am very much surprised to hear that I’ve gone to Saudi Arabia or Dubai. I wonder why always people are talking false about me,” Metro FM.
“I left Accra last Saturday for Paris to see my son who has been hospitalized. I am still a Kotoko player and will serve my contract with them. Those pictures you see are my old pictures so the stories are untrue.”
Kotoko officials say they are expecting the scorer back to the team on December 21 to join in the groundwork for the new campaign.
