The Ghana international is expected to start at left-back when Chelsea face PSG in a repeat of last season’s round of 16 clash on Tuesday.
Black Stars defender Baba Rahman is in line to start Tuesday’s Uefa Champions League round of 16 tie with Paris Saint Germain at the Parc des Princes.
The 21-year-old’s chances have been boosted by the absence of John Terry from the Blues squad, having failed to recover from an injury picked up in Sunday’s 5-1 thrashing of Newcastle in the English Premier League.
In the said game, Baba was a 38th minute introduction following Terry’s withdrawal.
The Ghanaian has seen a frustrating time since transferring from German side Augsburg last summer, after making 31 appearances in Bundesliga.
This season, the former Asante Kotoko left-back has made just five English topflight appearances - involving three starts - for the reigning league champions, and last Sunday’s game was his first under new coach Guus Hiddink following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
Baba has made three Champions League appearances so far for the Blues.
Chelsea come into Tuesday’s game with revenge on their minds, having been kicked out of the competition at same stage last season by Laurent Blanc’s men.
