Giants Asante Kotoko made a 12-hour journey to reach Tumu on Friday for their MTN FA Cup round of 32 tie against Real 24 Hours FC.
The team left Kumasi at 7am. They arrived in Tumu, which is only 18km away from the Burkina Faso border, at 7pm.
The contingent who at some point of the journey, sang and drummed to entertain themselves appeared lively despite the long journey.
The 12-hour journey notwithstanding, technical handlers of the team are confident that, the players will battle their opponent successfully in Saturday’s game.
Kotoko eliminated division two side, AK Shion 4-1 on penalties at the round of 64 stage at the Coronation Park, Sunyani.
That game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
