AshantiGold shot-stopper Fatau Dauda is set for a return into the Black Stars following the injury to Portland Timbers goalie Adam Kwarasey.
Kwarasey has suffered a finger ligament injury which will rule him out of action for close to five weeks.
The former Strmsgodset goalie will not be available for the 2017 Afcon qualifier between the Black Stars and Mauritius in June.
Fatau Dauda is therefore set to provide comfort for Avram Grant ahead of the Black Stars friendly with Guinea later this month and the Afcon clash with Mauritius in June.
Kwarasey made it back into the Black Stars after he called for an international break following a bust-up with goalkeeper’s trainer Nassamu Yakubu during the 2014 World Cup.
