Ghanaian-born attacker Inaki Williams have won the La Liga goal of the season award.
The 21-year-old picked the award at the expense of Barcelona star Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Williams scored a breathtaking goal in their League game against Espanyol after flicking the ball over his opponent to take a volley from the edge of the penalty box.
The Spanish youth team player scooped 18.4 % of the votes which were cast by fans and supporters of the various Clubs in the La Liga.
His goal was adjudged the best as against Luis Suarez’s goal which was set up by Lionel Messi from the penalty spot.
Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale finished in third and fourth respectively.
Inaki Williams who have been named in the stand-by list of Spanish National team for the upcoming European Cup in France is born to a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother making him eliglble to feature for the Black Stars.
Report indicate the Ghana Football Association have already begun attempts to convince the player to naturalize for Ghana.
