Ghana Coach Avram Grant has justified his decision to invite Astana attacker Patrick Twumasi into the Black Stars team.
Twumasi was handed his debut senior National team call-up by the Israeli trainer after being named in the 23-man squad for the upcoming Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius.
The Kazakhstan-based attacker was one of the new three new players invited into the team.
Grant explains he invited the 22-year-old due to his performance for his Club in the UEFA Champions League.
“Patrick is doing well since the beginning of the season. He has scored goals for his Club and was also very good in the UEFA Champions League,” he told the press.
The Black Stars will continue their build-up with their second training session this afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.
