Black Stars Coach Avram Grant is positive about the possibility of Ghana winning the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Ghana qualified for next year’s tournament after recording a 2-0 victory over Mauritius on Sunday afternoon.
The Black Stars are will be hoping to clinch the trophy having missed out narrowly on penalty shootouts to Ivory Coast in the finals in 2015.
Grant who guided the Black Stars to the finals in the last edition of the competition is optimistic his side can win the trophy next year.
“Of course, you know that a lot of teams have the ambition to win, but we did well in the last Africa Cup, we deserved the Cup, we were better in the finals. We didn’t win because of penalties,” he said.
Ghana has failed to win the trophy despite making it to the semi-finals in the last four editions of the competition reaching the finals in 2010 and 2015.
