Former Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah believes the Black Stars can win the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The current crop of players in the Black Stars team are itching to break a 34-year jinx by winning the continental competition for the first time in more than three decades.
Ghana have been paired together with Egypt, Uganda and Mali in Group D of the Cup of Nations.
Many have described Ghana’s group as one of the toughest in the competition.
Vorsah is optimistic the Black Stars can win the title for the fifth time.
“I know many people are saying the Group is a tough, yes all the team in there are good, “ the former Hoffeinham center-back told said on Hot FM.
“But the Black Stars can go all out and win the trophy, trust me, I have played with most of the guys and I know how the feeling is in camp during competitions and I can tell you the team can win the trophy.
“Is unfortunate we couldn’t win it the last time but we were very close which shows that this time around the target is the ultimate.”
The defender represented Ghana at the 2010, 2012 and 2013 Cup of Nations tournaments.
