Black Stars Coach Avram Grant insist his side are capable of making it to the World Cup despite the team’s defeat to Egypt on Sunday.
Ghana despite showing resilience and determination to beat Egypt at their own backyard suffered a 2-0 loss a 2-0 at the hands of the North Africans at the packed Borg Al-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Abdulai Seid saw the Black Stars taste their first defeat in two games.
Grant who was pleased with the performance of the Black Stars team is not ruling out the possibility of aiding Ghana to the World Cup.
“We played well, we did our possible best to win, We have four more games to play, and I think we can win and qualify,” he told ON Sport.
“This is football and anything can happen, we have to win our next game.”
Ghana are now third in Group E with just a point from two games.
Egypt top the Group with 6 points, followed by Uganda who have 4 points with Congo lying bottom with no point.

Who are u trying to ***barred word***? Maybe nyantakyi
Avram Grant, I am with you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is not over until it is over. Ghana CAN qualify. However, do not stop putting pressure on the GFA to suspend their pride and call the two key players who can change our destiny - Sulley Muntari and KP Boateng. Look at how Muntari and Boateng combined in the match between Ghana and Germany. And look at the results we got. Have we ever gotten any better results comparable to that game in the history of our football? Aside everything, these two players were young players you built a life-long relationship with. And as a coach, you have the right to invite them to the team. Christian Atsu and Jordan Ayew are great players but they are not up to the standard in serious games. They make amateurish mistakes in serious games. And clearly, they are not willing to learn. Look at how they played against USA in the World Cup. And look at the way Ghana changed, when KP Boateng started the game against Germany. Look at how he inspired all the players. So coach, use your prerogative and veto our FA. Even if the Muntari and Boateng set conditions, accept it. And in my opinions, their condition should (1) they will be paid their salaries and bonus in full if they help to qualify the team to the World Cup (2) their grievances about Kwasi Appiah and the FA must be heard by an independent body and it must be made public. Because I think Kwasi Appiah made a mistake of starting the USA game with Atsu and Jordan. He should have known better than that.
use.less frefrekobo coach + co-efficient officials = not qualifying for another world
Grant, don't you see the writing on the wall that the Black Stars have already lost the qualification bid. No amount of mathematics will work. No country is a novice. I am so glad they lost and will continue to lose so we do not have any future co-efficient hunting us.
Don't worry we shall qualify. What you did yesterday was to protect and save your life and that of the players. If we had scored you guys would have been dead by now.
