The former Ghana under-23 deputy coach has a word of caution for the Al Khartoum boss, who is one of the favourites for the Black Stars job.
With each passing day, speculations of Kwesi Appiah's imminent reappointment as coach of theBlack Stars gains more ground.
The 56-year-old is close to sealing his return, per local reports, and opinions, expectedly, have been divided.
The former national defender led the Black Stars to the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil, but a first round elimination prompted his sack.
"Appiah's return to the Black Stars is very good," veteran coach JE Sarpong told Peace FM.
"He will succeed even more than he did during his previous days with the team.
"But he should not trust the Ghana Football Association Executives."
For a controversy-filled campaign in Brazil, a World Cup first round exit for the first time in the history of the Black Stars was always going to see some heads roll, despite the existence of off-pitch issues.
Players boycotted trainings in protest over unpaid appearance fees, midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari were sent home on the day of the 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the last group game for separate offences.
In the end, however, the GFA decided that the Black Stars needed a new coach at the helm of affairs.
Appiah, who had earlier guided the team to a fourth finish at the 2013 Afcon, was given the boot, and Al Khartoum SC of Sudan would be his new home.
It will be interesting to find out why anyone will warn a coach against an entity that is considering handing him a new appointment.
But could Appiah's controversial dismissal in 2014 be the reason?

Coach Appiah ; you do not need to take the job if you think you do not need it ; Massa; EYE BY FORCE !!!!!!because to me Ghanaians are very ungtrateful people and very EVIL people ; besides if you are happy where you are then just stay there because whatever you do for Ghana they will never appreciate your contribution besides the people who master minded you sacking includling Kwesi Nyantakyi are still there ; they will stab you in the back again but if you must take the job then I sugget you put out strict conditions because they need you do not need the GFA ; you must shade this timid accolade about yourself and put your foot down ;afterall they can employ Nyantakyi the KROOK to coach the Blackstars ; why do they need you this time ; UNTHINKABLE GHANAIAN GFA !!!!!; they rather prefer to hire a white man to chop their money so they can get 'NOKOFIO' paid into their private account it did not start today and will never end today !!!!; KWESI APPIAH BE VERY CAREFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!
