The Wafa shot-stopper's goal was the difference as the Black Stars pipped their West African counterparts on Wednesday.
Wafa goalkeeper Razak Abalora scored the winner as Ghana's team B recorded a 2-1 victory over Gambia in an international friendly encounter on Wednesday.
Lamin Jallow and Thomas Abbey were the other scorers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
While the game served as a preparatory fixture for Ghana ahead of their upcoming African Nations Championship qualifiers, Gambia, who played at full strength, are fine-tuning for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin on Sunday.
Ghana were unable to present their first team as the side is currently in Kumasi ahead of the Afcon qualifier against Ethiopia on Sunday.
Following a barren first half, substitute Thomas Abbey put Ghana ahead with his first touch of the game in the 51st minute.
Jallow then restored parity on 74 minutes before goalkeeper Abalora snatched the winner from the spot after Zakaria Mumuni was brought down by Alasana Manneh.
