Mr. Charles Kwadwo Ntim, founder and bankroller of Techiman City Football Club, has said government intervention is not the best approach in reviving football in the country.

Mr. Kwadwo Ntim however believes all stakeholders in the game, should come together to develop the right procedures in the house cleaning exercise.

The aftermath of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ Exposé about the rot in Ghana’s football has aroused various backlash which has subjected football people to all kinds of ridicule that has virtually marred the integrity of the game.

The shocking documentary captured Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwasi Nyantakyi and 14 other top officials as well referees engaging in series of misconduct and corrupt practices.

According to the astute football administrator, who is known in the football circles as "Micky Charles", "these are not good times for Ghana football, but I would call for affirmative steps, devoid of any sought of intervention from government to deal with the situation.

"It’s sad day for Ghana football and we the football people have let the whole nation down. I get worried if I hear people calling for government intervention, since we all know the repercussions. For me, it is about doing a house cleaning as an association and we have to sit down and take steps towards achieving this objective of cleansing the system." he noted.

He also entreated the various disciplinary bodies within the GFA, to expel all culprits who were captured misconducting themselves, as they seek to build up a good image for the association.

"Those found culpable would must be expelled because it’s there in the GFA statues and regulation with regards to the events unfolding, so we the football people should be involved in this house cleaning so we start building up a good reputation as an association,'' he told GNA Sports.

Meanwhile, the government is yet to act on various revelations after the premiering of the exposé.
