Ebusua Dwarfs coach Bashir Hayford has been appointed the head trainer of the Black Queens.
According to media reports, the veteran coach is currently with the team at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram preparing them for the forthcoming African Women Nations Cup which will be hosted by Ghana.
Mercy Tagoe, who guided the team to win the 2018 WAFU Zone B Cup following the departure of Didi Dramani, will now reverts to her deputy role.
The former Asante Kotoko gaffer will however continue in his role as the head coach of Ghana Premier League club Ebusua Dwarfs.
Hayford’s appointment is the first major one done by the Liaison Team since they were handed the mandate to manage all the national teams following the injunction placed on the Ghana FA.
