The 2013/14 premiere league champions Kumasi Asanti Kotoko Sporting Club shall soon appoint a local coach after Paa Kwesi Fabian handed in his resignation letter.
Lawyer Sarfo Duku, the Communication Director of the club, in an interview with Ghana News Agency, said "we will appoint a new coach at the end of this month and he is going to be a local coach’’.
On the prevailing rumours that Charles Kwabena Akunnor, the Ex-Black Stars captain is the favourite to land the job, he said “we are talking with a lot of local coaches so every local coach in the country is a favourite for the job”.
The porcupine warriors will be playing Ashanti Gold on Sunday at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
Lawyer Duku said in the absence of a substantive coach, Akakpo Patron, the assistant coach and the entire team are fully prepared for the game.

That will be a great news to hear. Especially in a situation where we are all expecting the normalization team to start their job and seeing the league bouncing back sooner than later. Anyway, let me digress a little. I'm a fun of football from infancy and would want to keep every thing as it is but I think I have a bit problem here. Thus, the writings of the names of one a sports presenters on UTV and the pronunciation really differs. Bongo de Farah, I mean. Is his name Osafo or Safo? The writing comes like Osafo but the newscasters usually calls him Safo. I don't really know which is which. May be the producers can check the Spelling if really Safo is the correct pronunciation. I think someone from their quarters can really educate me, thanks.
