Former Manchester United and England captain Wayne Rooney is desperate to see Callum Hudson-Odoi take his chance when he make his debut for the national team against Czech Republic.
The 18-year old has earned a lot of praise and showed some remarkable performances for his club this season which has earned him his first senior team call up.
The U-17 World Cup winner is yet to start a game for the Blues in the Premier League however Wayne Rooney is enthused about seeing him make his debut call-up for England.
The former Manchester United captain hopes Hudson-Odoi will prove he is worthy to be in the team as done by the other youngsters.
He said: "To be honest I haven't seen that much of him play, which is a shame because from what everyone says he is a huge talent.
"He doesn't seem to be getting a lot of game time at Chelsea at the minute so hopefully with his call-up to the national squad he'll get some game time and there will be a chance to see him.
"It's great to see young players getting the opportunity to play for England and certainly over the last year or so, they've taken that chance."
