Asante Kotoko is reported to have settled the GH¢ 180,000 debt to former coach CK Akonnor for his illegal dismissal in July 2019.
According to a report by Kumasi-based Fox FM, the newly constituted board of directors of the club supervised the payment to the new Ghana coach.
Akonnor was fired nine months into his three-year contract and grabbed the club Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
The ex-Black Stars coach demanded an accumulated two-year salary, league trophy cash, and CAF Confederation Cup Group stage entitlements.
Kotoko was found guilty for breach of contract.
