Former Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman, Herbert Mensah has pleaded with Arsenal fans to be patient with their new signing Thomas Partey.
The Ghanaian midfielder has joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid after the English Premier League outfit triggered his release clause of €45 million.
He completed the deal on last Monday after a successful medicals and expected to make his debut after the FIFA international break.
Many are expecting the Black Stars deputy skipper to outshine at Arsenal considering his spectacular performance for Atletico Madrid in the Spanish laliga.
But Herbert Mensah who is now the President and Board chairman of the Ghana Rugby Football Union believes Thomas Partey should be given enough time to adjust to the Premier League since he has not tasted the English league before.
On his Facebook wall, the ace Ghanaian sports administrator wrote that, “Nothing makes me happier than to see Ghanaians in any legitimate walk of life being recognised!
“Thomas is an astounding footballer with wonderful qualities. He has strength, speed, an ability to read the game (like the great Makele), adapts where required, is fearless and importantly for me can transition from defence into offence”
