The Media Coalition on the Right to Information together with civil society groups including Occupy Ghana will today, Friday, 30 November 2018 begin a street advocacy against the delay by Parliament in passing the Right to Information Bill (RTI).
Over 70 Civil Society Organisations are expected to participate in the exercise dubbed: #RTIRedFriday.
The action begins a countdown to the Majority Leader’s recent promise that the Bill would be passed before Parliament rises this year.
According to the Media Coalition on the Right to Information, today’s exercise will involve the distribution of RTI educational materials in Accra after which leaders will proceed to Parliament to observe consideration of the RTI Bill.
