The desire by President John Evans Atta Mills to embark on an aggressive agricultural modernization programme is on the verge of collapse, as a result of the whole sale of state farm lands and tractors at Kwamoso in the Akuapem North District in the Eastern Region by New Patriotic Party (NPP) members and the Nkosuohene of Kwamoso.
