Stars Yvonne Nelson, Richie Mensah and Luckie Lawson were on Friday honoured by the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre (CWC) in Accra for their significant contribution and dedicated service to the people of Ghana via movies and music. They were recognized at New Horizon School in Cantonment, Accra, where the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, in collaboration with NewMax Company, held a screening exercise for students with neurological disorders such as autism. The three stars took time off their busy schedules to spend some quality time with the students. They were each presented with a certificate of recognition at the ceremony. Dubbed Chiropractic and Wellness Centre�s Day service, the screening ceremony was an activity that brought a team of doctors and celebrities together to screen challenged students and bring smiles on their faces. Officials of the Wellness Centre took some time to talk to the children about autism and recommended regular chiropractic treatment. They also spoke about how happy they were to be at the school to screen the students. The students also enjoyed a number of current hit songs with which they tried their azonto moves. Richie Mensah, Yvonne Nelson and Luckie Lawson were the only stars that showed up even though more stars were expected to grace the occasion. Speaking at the ceremony, Prince Etornam Attipoe of NewMax said his company and the Wellness Centre found it rewarding to affect the lives of the students and was also happy for the presence of the celebrities. �The greatest happiness on earth lies in making others happy. I am impressed to see these young ambitious men and women (stars) who are making their lives meaningful by bringing smiles on the faces of the less fortunate, amidst of all the distractions that this world could offer,� he added. The doctors and members of the centre interacted, played, danced and encouraged the students, assuring them that they were important in society and that their conditions were not permanent. New Horizon School is a non-profit organisation that provides basic education for children and vocational training for over 140 special needs person. Last year, as part of activities to further raise awareness, the Chiropractic and Wellness Centre in Ghana named three icons- Reggie Rockstone, Richie and Joseph Agbeko- as its health ambassadors. It has its head office located in Asylum Down, adjacent Roxbury night club, with affiliates in Takoradi, Kumasi and Cape Coast. Currently, the centre is engaging in screening exercises across the country, offering chiropractic and wellness services.
