Dominic Oduro Scores Seasons First In Mls

Ghana striker Dominic Oduro scored for Chicago Fire to deny Major League Soccer newboys Montreal a debut win in a 1-1 draw on Saturday. Montreal were making its home debut in front of 58,912 fans and through 70 minutes the home supporters had to be pleased. The Impact created a pair of chances in the first half before taking the lead in the 56th minute through captain Davy Arnaud. Arnaud connected a cross from Sanna Nyassi in the 56th minute to put Montreal in front. The goal was the first in MLS for Montreal but the lead lasted only 15 minutes before Oduro equalized. Sebastian Grazzini floated a ball into the penalty area that Oduro lunged to redirect past goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts. Oduro, who made his Ghana debut last month in the friendly against Chile, lasted the entire duration. His compatriot Patrick Nyarko was also a full-timer in the match.
