How Could NPP Elect Someone Who Urinates On Mosque's Walls As Flagbearer?

General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has goaded the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the controversy surrounding the parade by the Special Forces during the 55th Independence Day Anniversary celebrations. Asiedu Nketia opines that the NPP has nothing to worry about if the party is not planning on doing anything evil, pointing out that it is only an individual who harbours evil intentions that grows pale at the sight of a police officer. He was speaking at the NDCs Greater Accra Rally held at Mantse Agbonaa, at Jamestown in Accra. The rally, attended by thousands of enthusiastic followers, wearing party paraphernalia with the NDCs colours of red, green, black and white, set the tone for the many that would be held across the 10 regions of Ghana in months to come. We were not in town but we understand moments after the Independence celebration, the song on the lips of everyone was Special Forces. But I want to ask, if an old lady intends to commit suicide by hanging a rope around her neck, and she gets to know that a fallen branch of a tree is heading towards her direction, why must she run?...Is it not the NPP who have been espousing the all-die-be-die mantra? So why should they run away when they hear of Special Forces? Was it not the same NPP who a couple of weeks ago stated right here at this Mantse Agboena venue that their supporters should lynch any police officer to death? Why are they suddenly so nervous and fearful of the police?... "...If one has no intention of setting a house ablaze, why should the person be bothered if the state purchases Fire Tenders and showcases its fire-fighting equipment? The NDC made a promise to Ghanaians that if Prof Mills becomes President, every life and property will be duly secured and protectedwe will not renege on our word. The constitution guarantees that we fully resource the Police, Military, Fire Service,so my friends, that was just a fraction of the guns and ammunition on show," he said. General Mosquito, as the NDC General Secretary is affectionately called, also took a swipe at the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo, referring to him by use of an allegory as someone who scoffs at codes of discipline. According to the NDC chief Scribe, it beats his imagination that the opposition choose to elect a flagbearer who blatantly flouted a brilliant initiative by former Vice President Aliu Mahama to check indiscipline by urinating on the walls of a mosque. Do you recall that when President Kufuor was in power, he introduced a campaign to check indiscipline in the country? We watched the clip and we all saw a mad man using a rod on a gentleman who was peeing on a wall saying wa bo dam? Aha na wo b3 dwonsɔ? (to wit, Are you mad? Is that where you are passing urine?).Even if a mad man could lash at a man for urinating at an unapproved place, how come that the same NPP has elected somebody who urinates on the walls of a mosque? he asked.
