Emmanuel Baffour: I'll Be Honoured To Break Ishmael Addos 11-Year Record

New Edubiase striker Emmanuel Baffour wants to rewrite the history books as the most successful goal poacher since the inception of the Ghana Premier League in 1993. The impressive striker is just six goals away from breaking the 11-year-old record set by ex-Hearts of Oak goal-machine Ishmael Addo who scored 22 goals during the 2000/2001 season. The former Liberty Professionals attacker scored his 17th goal of the season during their 1-1 draw at leaders Asante Kotoko on Sunday with a slick finish from an acute angle to move within 5 goals shy of equaling the long-standing record. With eight matches left to be played in the top-flight, the 23-year-old believes he can reach the landmark. He told Radio XYZ: Before the season started I said to myself I had to do something for my career, I am praying that before the season ends, I will be able to score at least a goal in each match and that will take my tally very high. I am told he (Ishmael Addo) scored 22 goals but thats not where my focus is. I just have to concentrate and work hard and if I surpass that, it will be an icing on the cake for me. He was a fantastic striker during his peak time and to have scored more than him for in a season will be a delight,
