Muntari's Wife Slams "Ignorant" Editor For Racial Comments
Sulley Muntari’s wife, Menaye Donkor has taken a swipe at an African magazine editor who made racial comments against her and describing her as a non true African woman.
The controversy started after Menaye’s picture was used as the cover page of the April/May edition of the New African Women Magazine.
Her appearance on the cover page did not go down well with the editor of another African magazine who sent a perceived racial message to the editor of the New African women magazine.
It reads “hello Regina…to tell u the truth …it (the cover) is not representative to black African beauty, the major criticism we have is that the girl don’t look like black African, girl is too perfect and white, I FIND IT not very nice… putting perfect looking girls in front of covers!”
Reacting to the comment, Menaye Donkor (Miss Universe Ghana 2004) said "I am surprised to hear such ignorant remarks in this modern world that we live in.
“I thought people were much more educated and not so shallow minded to generalize and make such comments”.
“My question then sums up to: What African is? And How an African should look? I am a true African woman born and raised in Ghana by Ghanaian parents and amazing Ghanaian heritage.
