MARIO BALOTELLI�S tackle landed him on the front pages at the weekend.And a horror tackle on Arsenal�s Alex Song has cost him his Manchester City career.
Balotelli saw red in the last minute for a second booking but Roberto Mancini admitted he should have gone for the 20th-minute lunge � and will now be sold this summer.
The manager said: �He will not play in our last six games, we have six left.�
Balotelli, who The Sun revealed had slept with hooker Jenny Thompson, committed a string of reckless challenges.
Mancini has run out of patience and even called on the FA to punish his volatile striker after the referee did not see the challenge on Song.
Asked if he thought Balotelli would be banned, Mancini said: �I hope so. From the bench I didn�t see but it was a bad tackle.�
Pressed on whether he will now sell the striker, 21, Mancini said: �Probably � but I don�t know. �I always defend him as he is a good guy. But if he does not change in the future he can lose all his talent.
�I hope, for him, that he can understand that he�s in a bad way for his future, and he can change his behaviour in the future.� Balotelli has already been banned retrospectively this season for stamping on Tottenham�s Scott Parker.
He was eventually sent off in the 1-0 defeat at Arsenal yesterday for two bookings, both fouls on Gunners full-back Bacary Sagna.
Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta scored the 85th-minute goal which lifted Arsenal into third place above Spurs and ends City�s title hopes. Mancini admitted that Balotelli�s display hurt their title hopes.
He added: �I can continue to play with Mario on the pitch but every time we risk one being sent off.
�I love him as a guy, I love him as a player, because I know him.
�He�s a fantastic player but at this moment, I�m very sorry as he continues to lose his quality.�
