Black Stars Players Approve Coach Kwesi Appiah�s Appointment

Ghana captain John Mensah says his colleagues believe coach Kwesi Appiah has the requisite qualities to guide the Black Stars to success. The 51-year-old was given a seal of approval to take permanent charge of the Black Stars on Monday with a firm believe he has the credentials to end the country�s long-wait for an African title next year. The Ghana Federation boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has reiterated his outfit�s commitment to offer him an unrivalled support in his new appointment. The Lyon stalwart defender and his team-mates, who will be key components in the immediate future of the Black Stars, have already sent their well-wishes to the former Asante Kotoko defender. �On my own behalf, and on behalf of the entire Black Stars team, I congratulate coach Appiah on his appointment,� Mensah said. �It is refreshing news and we are happy for him. �My colleagues and I will give our best shot, we promise to give him our uttermost best by way of cooperation and commitment as we strive to qualify for next World and Nations Cups.� Appiah will hit the ground running ahead of the Black Stars 2014 opening World cup qualifier against Lesotho in June.
